For Art Collectors
Are the works of Art all Originals?
Artwork featured in the Virtual Exhibition Gallery are original works of art by artists and usually corresponds to an onsite exhibition. If you choose to purchase through our Shop 4 Art gallery, note that not all artwork featured are original.
What if I want to pay less than the listed price on artwork?
You can make an offer on a particular work that is provided in the Virtual Exhibition Gallery by contacting us. We will contact you within 48 hours with a response. Prices for artwork provided through the Shop 4 Art gallery may be negotiated for large orders. Also, you can always take advantage of our layaway plan if you are not able to pay the listed amount initially (see above).
What if I want to see the artwork before purchasing it?
If you are in the Metro Washington, DC area, you are encouraged to contact us if you would like to arrange a viewing from one of the works in the Virtual Gallery (either at home or a private viewing at the exhibition site).
I live outside of the DC area, can artwork be shipped to me?
Yes, only for fully paid artwork. If you are purchasing from the Virtual Gallery, the artwork will be shipped by ACA. Please note that shipping costs will be added to the purchase price and you will be notified prior to completing the purchase. Artwork will be shipped within 7-14 days after purchase, either from ACA or the artist. If you are purchasing on layaway, your art will be shipped within 7-14 days after receiving the final payment. If you are purchasing from the Shop 4 Art gallery, Art.com, our affiliate partner, will ship art directly to you, usually within 24-48 hours.
How do I pay for artwork?
If you are buying from the Shop 4 Art gallery, you can select the highlighted link to purchase your selection via Art.com, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Paypal through a secure server and online checkout system. If you are purchasing from the Virtual Gallery or at an exhibition, ACA accepts Visa and Mastercard through a secure online checkout. Checks and money orders are accepted by ACA only for art purchased from the Virtual Gallery or at onsite exhibitions.
If I pay for artwork on layaway, can I take the art home or have it shipped to me after paying my initial deposit?
No. Artwork will be delivered or available within 7-14 days after ACA receives final payment.
If I pay for art by layaway and decide not to purchase it, can I get a refund?
If you decide not to purchase artwork on layway and notify us, in writing, within 45 days of the initial deposit, you can receive a refund of all payments with the exception of the initial deposit. The initial 25% deposit is non-refundable. If you contact us after 45 days of the initial deposit, you will not be eligible to receive a refund of any payments made, in addition to the deposit, on the artwork.
Can I get a refund for artwork I purchased if I don't like it?
If you purchase art via the Shop 4 Art gallery, you are subject to the return and money back guarantee of Art.com. If you purchase art from the Virtual Gallery, art exhibition, etc. from ACA directly, you have a 7 day Money Back Guarantee with each purchase. If for any reason, you are not absolutely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund, less shipping and handling charges, by notifying us, in writing, within seven days of your receipt of the artwork. The artwork must be returned in the same condition as it was received, or the client will be charged the full purchase price, or a fee for repair.
Do you broker art or sell art from existing collections?
No, we do not provide brokerage services at this time nor do we represent clients in selling artwork from their private collections. We can refer you to art professionals who have expertise in this area.
Do you provide framing services?
We provide limited in-person framing services in the Metro Washington, DC area for art, however, if an art purchase is made through Shop 4 Art Gallery, framing services can be provided on-line .
Do you curate for galleries or other art spaces?
Yes, we can provide this service. Contact us for details.

Do you represent artists?
We do not represent artists exclusively. Our representation of artists is limited to their specific work featured on-line or in on-site exhibitions, only.
How can I be considered as part of the on-site exhibitions or virtual gallery ?
You can submit art to be considered in the on-site or virtual exhibitions via the Call for Artists page.
What kind of professional development opportunities do you provide artists?
We provide online and onsite workshops on a variety of topics of interest to artist with many of our Partners. Check our E-courses and Events for upcoming workshops and seminars for artists.
If I sign up for a workshop or seminar and have to cancel, am I eligible for a refund?
Refund and cancellation policies may differ depending on whether it is an on-site or online workshop. The refund/cancellation policy is provided for all workshops listed on the E-Courses and Events page.
